What does your church believe?
For information about who we are, visit the About Us page.
When do you offer services?
We offer a worship service each Sunday morning at 10:00.
On the first Sunday of each month, we meet at Wheeler Mission's Camp Hunt at 5:00 for a meal and fellowship. Learn more here.
During much of the year there is a study available at 6PM on Wednesday evenings. This group takes a break during the winter months when days are shorter and the evenings are darker.
When is the church office open?
Joyce is in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 9:00am - 2:00pm.
Nick is available in the office most Mondays from 9:30-3:30pm and via his cell phone all week.
Are there programs for my students at your church?
Yes! During the 10:00 worship service, we offer a "Children's Church" service downstairs for elementary aged students after the initial worship through singing, before the sermon begins.
Most second and fourth Sundays jr/sr high students have a gathering off site for discussion and fellowship.
What should I wear on Sunday morning?
You are welcome to wear whatever you are comfortable in! Some attendees wear dresses or ties, some wear khakis, and others wear jeans. There is no "right" thing to wear on any of the days we offer services.
It's been a long time since I've been to church. Will I be welcome?
Absolutely! We will do our best to help you feel at home with us. We try to keep visitors in mind as we go through our service so that we explain what is happening. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask someone!
What kind of music is played during the service?
We play a mixture of traditional and contemporary Christian music.
Who should take communion?
Communion is open to all followers of Jesus who have taken a step of obedience and surrender in baptism.
Do I take the communion as soon as I get it, or should I hold it so that everyone takes it at once?
You may take communion at any time. Many people spend a few moments reflecting and praying before they take it, but you do not need to wait for anyone else.
What happens during a typical Sunday morning service?
1. Welcome and Announcements
2. Opening Prayer
3. Worship
4. Kids dismissed downstairs
5. Sermon
6. Communion
7. Continued Response time with Worship and Prayer invitation
How does your church help the community?
We currently partner with some local ministries such as Youth for Christ and Wheeler Mission’s Camp Hunt. However we also believe that the church is most effective at servicing the community by equipping and mobilize it’s members to embody Jesus life and message and serve in all of the places and moments they find themselves in.
Should I put money in the offering box?
You should not feel obligated to put money in the offering tray if you are a guest. Financial support of Northside is declaring our trust in Jesus and his ministry, and in this case his ministry though the work and life of Northside.
